IWC GOLF CLUB SL AUTOMATIC – REF. 1829 – GERALD GENTA – 1975
It’s amazing how a piece of metal and glass can attract the human eye. Our eyes always water when we receive such a beautiful vintage IWC and “have” to sell it again.
The watch is in stunning condition. We would say 9.7/10.
This Golf Club Automatic (Ref. 1829) features a plated, rhodium brushed dial with a beautiful even dark patina on the tritium.
The rhodium gray is a perfect color for any bracelet combination.
Powered by the famous IWC caliber 8541 (date).
It is one of only 1,000 pieces ever produced.
The design is probably one of the last works of Gerald Genta, which he made for IWC in the 1970s.
Anyway, the watch can’t deny the kinship with Genta’s other designs.
This is an opportunity to acquire a watch with above average appreciation potential.
The entire watch is in near perfect condition and comes on a new, handmade, GOTS certified alligator leather strap.
