IWC Ingenieur 3508 – 500.000 A/m – Rhodium dial – 1992

Monochrome Love!
When looking for a grey or rhodium dial in the 34mm IWC Ingenieur range, there are only two options: the 3505/3506 with a matte grey graph paper dial, or the 3508. The 3508 is, in fact, the only available option with an integrated bracelet that features a straight-brushed rhodium/silver dial — and it’s rare. Most of the 955 pieces ever produced were delivered with either black or white dials.
The design also transitioned to the modern, more subtle-looking logo. Using only capital letters enhances the bold, clean appearance of the dial.
To me, the 3508 in this monochrome, all-silver configuration is the most masculine-looking version of them all.
A few small, beautifully finished golden details add just the right amount of “wow” to this understated watch.
The case has seen some polishing but remains in nice overall condition. The hands and dial show minor signs of age and patina.
The bracelet shows almost no stretch and fits wrists up to 18.5cm comfortably (or 19cm tightly).
Powered by the IWC caliber 35790, featuring a rotor made of solid 21-carat gold and antimagnetic resistance up to 500,000 A/m, this watch was — and still is — ahead of its time. A truly “engineered” piece.
Serviced movement with a 12-month warranty.
