Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Speed-Beat – Jumbo Ref. E 876 Alarm – NSA Bracelet – Papers from Nov 1972

Looking for something truly special?
This Memovox E876 stuns with its rare, denim-like patina — a unique blue dial that captures light and texture beautifully.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E876 – “Speed-Beat Jumbo”
The Memovox (“memory” + “voice” in Latin) is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s legendary mechanical alarm watch — and the E876 is one of my favourites.
Introduced in 1969, the E876 features the upgraded caliber K916, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour — a major leap from the earlier K825’s 18,000 vph.
The K916 also introduced a full 360° bidirectional winding rotor, maximizing efficiency.
This “jumbo” edition was branded:
- GT (Grand Taille, or “big size”) for the French market,
- HPG (High Precision Guaranteed) for the U.S.
At 38 mm across (excluding crowns), its bold, cushion-shaped case captures the essence of 1970s design — offering a larger wrist presence than most JLCs of the time.
Ideal for wrists sized 17–22 cm.
Condition
- Lightly polished in the past; remains crisp with sharp edges.
- Dial and hands are absolutely beautiful.
- Alarm function beats loudly and clearly — no excuses here!
Extras
- Original “International Guarantee” papers (mint condition)
- Originally sold on November 2, 1972, by Jaeger-LeCoultre Germany, Pforzheim
- Original JLC-signed NSA bracelet, almost no stretch, freshly serviced comfort clasp
(Fits up to 19.5 cm wrist, bracelet alone worth €900–€1,200)
