HEUER Carrera 45 – Ref.: 3647N – ca. 1963

Introduced in 1963 by Jack Heuer, the Carrera line was designed with motorsport in mind—clean, legible, and focused on what truly matters on the track.

The reference 3647N (the “N” for noir, or black dial) was one of the earliest models, launched shortly after the three-register 2447. It became known as the “Carrera 45” thanks to its Valjoux 92 movement, a legendary manual-wind caliber with a distinctive 45-minute chronograph register at 3 o’clock (running seconds at 9 o’clock)

Crisp white printing on the dial still pops, sharp and original.

The steel case shows honest signs of wear from decades of use, but it’s never been polished, so the edges and lines remain crisp and true to factory form.

No redials, no heavy servicing shine—just a genuine survivor from the first generation of Heuer Carreras. A proper vintage motorsport chronograph for someone who values authenticity and patina over showroom perfection.

Solid example ready for the next wrist.
