HEUER Ref. 73323 S – silver sunburst dial with clean matte white sub-dials.
In the light, it really comes alive.
The tritium has aged to that soft, creamy tone we all like to see, and the dial is in great shape overall, just a couple of tiny spots if you look closely.
The orange chrono hand adds a nice bit of contrast, paired with the tachymeter scale.
This is one of those honest vintage racing chronographs that just feels right.
Manual-wind Valjoux 7733, solid and easy to live with, classic two-register layout, and a full steel case that hasn’t been messed with. The silver dial with white registers gives it a lighter, almost summery feel—compelling in its own way.
The 73323 came out around 1970 and doesn’t show up all that often anymore. It was available in a few dial variants: S (silver/white), NT (reverse panda, sometimes with a white tachy), and SN (panda).
The patina is spot on—proper, even aging over the last 50+ years without taking anything away from the watch.
It’s fitted with a new handmade strap from Germany (WATCHURBIA’s Desert Drift suede in sand), along with a new original Heuer pin buckle.
Valjoux 7733, signed Heuer-Leonidas. Simple, reliable, and exactly what you want in a watch like this.
