The first execution of “Der Fliegerchronograph” comes with the rare plexiglas crystal. The reference 3740 was only made for about two years. It was replaced by reference 3741 in 1991/92 with sapphire crystal.
The unpolished case has some nice end even patina, the plexiglas is still in very good condition.

The green “made in Germany” perlon strap is a good match for this neo-vintage Pilot’s watch.
It still comes with the original IWC pin-buckle as a spare part, so you can change back to leather if you fancy this.
Tip: If you use curved spring bars on a perlon or nato-strap the watch will look much sleeker on the wrist!
