A very attractive vintage chronograph with classic proportions and a striking reverse panda configuration. This Jean-Perret is powered by the reliable Valjoux 7730 and housed in a beautiful and well-proportioned 36 mm Borgel-style case with pump pushers.
The black lacquer dial is crisp and glossy, offering strong contrast with the light silver radial sub-dials that create the characteristic reverse panda look collectors appreciate. A white printed tachymeter scale frames the dial, while the chronograph seconds hand is finished with a subtle red dot at the tip, adding a nice touch of color.
The tritium lume has aged evenly to a rich dark creamy tone, giving the watch a warm vintage character and great overall presence on the wrist.
All hands appear original to the watch, with only a very small defect on the minute hand visible upon close inspection. Otherwise the dial and handset present beautifully.
An appealing and honest vintage chronograph with great dial aesthetics, classic sizing, and one of the most respected manual-wind chronograph movements of the era. A piece that wears extremely well and stands out in any vintage collection.
