Cool things have cool names.
If you’re a watch collector, and you’re looking for a true cool piece, that takes your collection to the next level…go for our 1970 JLC Master Mariner aka “Barracuda”.
Few watches we know of are this versatile.
Our example was produced in May 1970 and developed a super dark creamy patina on the hands and indices. What a great color!
Most importantly, the dial, hands and crowns are all original and in great condition.
This piece is definitely for the collector and anyone looking for a true, honest, super cool vintage watch from the “watchmaker of the watchmakers”.
This reference E558 was sold by JLC’s vintage department for over 20k some time ago…it is part of their “the collectibles” book.
Last but not least, it’s a real Brevet super compressor case!
The case has few small signs of wear and has been slightly polished during its life.
Movement just serviced.
