Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E876 Speedbeat – Silver Dial – Calibre 916 – Original NSA Bracelet
What are we looking at?
A Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E876 with a silver dial, automatic Calibre 916 and its original NSA bracelet. And a particularly good reason to have another look at the Memovox.
I have a soft spot for this version. The large Arabic numerals, JL logo at nine and broad stainless steel case give it a look all of its own. At 38 mm without crowns, there is plenty of room for that dial, with its brushed silver alarm disc and dark, clearly defined hands.
The original tritium has aged to a lovely vanilla colour. Paired with the silver dial and NSA bracelet, it is a combination I find very hard to improve on.
What do we need to know?
The best hands and dial I have seen on an E876. That is the short version.
The dial is in perfect condition, the original hands are superbly preserved, and the vanilla tritium adds just enough warmth. All original, including the crystal.
The case remains super sharp, with well-defined edges and brushed surfaces. There are minor signs of wear and polishing. A real time capsule, with a few small reminders that it has been worn.
The original NSA bracelet fits a wrist of approximately 18.5 cm. Our Desert Drift strap in 20 mm is included too, although I would have a hard time taking this one off the bracelet.
The automatic Calibre 916 is currently measuring +1 second per day, with 293° amplitude and 0.0 ms beat error. Supplied with our 12-month warranty.
Very happy to have found this one. Slightly less enthusiastic about having to let it go.
