Beautiful HEUER Carrera „Mick Jagger“ with the reference 1153.
This watch has a very rare patina. The dials look like they are on fire…quite fitting for a vintage racing chronograph. Don’t you agree!?
This model was worn by Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones) in the 1970s, which is where the nickname „Jagger“ came from.
The legendary caliber 11 has been completely overhauled and is technically in perfect condition.
Excursion: CAL.11:
1969. the Chronomatic/Project 99 consortium, consisting of Heuer-Léonidas SA, Léon Breitling SA, Hamilton-Büren and chronograph specialist Dépraz & Co. This joint venture developed the Caliber 11 (or Chronomatic, depending on the brand using the movement), a modular design based on a Boer movement with a micro-rotor and a chronograph mechanism by Dépraz. It was one of the first automatic chronograph calibers ever made. (Zenith El Primero 3019PHC and SEIKO 6139 are the other two, with Zenith claiming to be the first…).
This Carrera comes with the original Gay Freres BOR steel bracelet (stamped 4/70) and with the original end links (stamped HLC). The steel bracelet is full length.
Vintage HEUER are generally collectible and a Carrera with Heuer’s first automatic chronograph movement, unique patina and original Gay Freres steel bracelet, stands out especially here.
