Heuer Carrera ref. 110.573B – 1974
Originally delivered in 1974 with a blue luminous metallic dial finished with Côtes de Genève, this Carrera has aged in the most beautiful way. The blue base is still present, but time has added golden and brown tones across the surface, creating a warm, tropical patina that gives the watch a completely different personality.
If you are a little bit like me, this is exactly the kind of dial you fall for.
The outer part of the dial is darker, becoming lighter toward the center, creating a natural play of light and shadow. Combined with the orange-edged hands and orange chronograph needles, the colors work together perfectly and give the watch a lot of depth. The 12-hour chronograph layout keeps the classic Carrera balance and readability.
Original hands with creamy lume, and bright white dial printing in sharp and clean condition — a combination you rarely see on a dial that has aged this way. Nothing blurred, nothing weak, just honest patina with strong contrast.
The barrel-shaped case shows signs of polishing, but still wears well. It comes with the case back sticker and the original HEUER hang-tag, small details that matter to collectors.
It is fitted with its full-length original HEUER bracelet with signed clasp, in very good condition with almost no stretch, fitting wrists up to 20 cm.
This is not just a blue Carrera anymore — it is a watch that shows what time can do when it does it right. For the collector who enjoys watches with character and isn’t looking for something sterile.
