ZENITH Defy 28800 a7682 “Burgundy Dial” – Gay Freres Lobster bracelet – 1971
Not many watches with a red dial are attracting our eyes… This ZENITH Defy A7682 is one of those examples. The very dark burgundy red dial has a lot of black undertones and a great smoky look because of the gradient finish.
The tritium lume developed a dark creamy warm tone over the years. Just a great looking dial on a nice sized case.
The watch comes on its original lobster bracelet (made by Gay Freres) and the end links are marked correctly with „ZR“
Bracelet has full length (8 links in total) and will fit up to a 22cm wrist.
The bracelet design makes a great „integrated“ look with the option to still wear the watch on leather, perlon or rubber straps…which, for sure, will look nice as well.
Crown: Original screwed down „big crown“ with Zenith „wheel“ logo. These are rare as well.
Case and bracelet are in good condition but might have been slightly polished during the years. Nothing that will decrease the value of the watch in this case.
There were made about 5.000 pcs of the reference A7682 in 1971/72.
