HEUER Camaro 7220N (first execution) – Valjoux 72 – tropical dial – ca. 1969

Some watches just give me goosebumps the moment I handle or photograph them — and this HEUER Camaro Ref. 7220 with its incredible tropical brown dial is definitely one of those!

The bold cushion-shaped case, the warm tones of the tropical dial, and the subtle signs of age and love give this Camaro so much character. Combined with its clean chronograph layout, this piece is an absolute dream!

On this hand made brown leather strap, the dial’s deep tropical tones come alive beautifully, making it one of my personal favorite Camaros I’ve ever had in hand.

This watch ticks every box for a vintage enthusiast: the unmistakable late-1960s / early-1970s Heuer design DNA, created to resonate with the spirit of American muscle car culture, remains just as striking today.

Powered by the reliable Valjoux 72 movement, the Camaro Ref. 7220 embodies Jack Heuer’s vision of distinctive, motorsport-inspired chronographs that dared to stand apart.

The case shows light signs of wear and polishing, yet retains its sharp edges and presence. Both the serial and reference numbers remain crisp and fully legible.

The watch is paired with a new handmade leather strap (crafted in Germany) and an original HEUER pin buckle. As always, the movement has been carefully checked and is running great.
