IWC Ingenieur 3521 JLC Chronometer – Gerald Genta – 1993
What’s your definition of a modern classic?
Well, if you ask us, the 34 mm version of Gerald Genta’s IWC Ingenieur probably qualifies more than any other watch as THE modern classic gentleman’s daily beater.
You’ll know it’s an Ingenieur within a second of spotting one in the wild…it’s very present without being loud or intrusive.
The Ref. 3521 is the certified chronometer version of the family. It features a solid platinum rotor and an impressive 80,000 A/m anti-magnetic rating.
A true neo-vintage/modern blend of great design heritage and ingenious construction.
Travel back in time and make this early 1990s watch a part of your daily life.
The bracelet fits up to a wrist circumference of a good 18 cm.
Case has some minor signs of wear but appears overall unpolished.
The IWC cal. 887 is based on Jaeger-LeCoultre’s masterpiece chronometer cal. 889 and features a solid platinum rotor.
IWC used the cal. 887 from 1992 to 1995 only, and changed to the 887/2 for later production years.
Serviced movement with 12-month mechanical warranty.
