The “skinny” one.

This one is for the connoisseur of rare IWC watches.
If you are looking for a graph paper dial Ingenieur SL Automatic, you will notice that most of the available ones are reference 3506 and have a “Swiss Made” signed dial.

This version, however, is a bit different. It is the very first version of the midsize Ingenieur after the release of the iconic 1832 Jumbo.

Not only does it have a centered bezel, it also has a “SWISS” only signed dial. This version was released in 1982 under the reference 3505 and was made for only two years.

Our watch is a first-owner`s-piece and comes with the original receipt from June 1984, sold in Germany.

This is a watch that you don’t see every day and that will become even rarer on the market once you buy this one…because you will want to keep it, for sure!

Case and bracelet are in great overall condition, sharp edges and only small signs of wear.

The 34 mm Ingenieur with a gray graph paper dial is the most sought after version for the 3505 and 3506.

The original integrated steel bracelet fits up to a wrist size of about 19cm. You will notice that the bracelet of the 3505 is a bit different from the later models; it looks even more masculine with its slightly beveled link edges.

Observing the market, you will notice that the demand for gray graph paper ingenieurs is high, especially in a very good condition like this one is. One of the best 3505 I’ve seen so far.

Simply a beautiful daily beater and a great investment piece. Take your opportunity to own one of the most beautiful Ingenieur references, the 3505.
