NIVADA GRENCHEN AVIATOR SEA DIVER – Ref. 1837M8222 – Valjoux92 – 1960s

Little is known about Nivada Grenchen in general… but we don’t always ask for all details of a watchmaker’s history, when they were able to design this beauty back in the 1960s.

A watch meant to be made for more than one occasion, showing off by naming it “Aviator Sea Diver”…

Today, the best thing you can do with it, just wear it, enjoy its beauty and adore the full tritium broad-arrow hands set and the dark and even patina.

For us, this example has the most beautiful branding version. Just the full name, straight writing, no logo, no croton, nothing else. 1960s simplicity always wins.

The case has signs of wear but is still super sharp, a flawless matte black dial with a hint of red at one sub-dial and this faded bezel, making this Aviator Sea Diver a perfect vintage-tool-chronograph.

This one is powered by a recently serviced cal. Valjoux92, making it even more collectible.
