OMEGA SEAMASTER CHRONOGRAPH – 145.006-66 – REVERSE PANDA – Cal. 321 – 1966
When it comes to hand-wound Chronographs, there is one movement on the very top of them all, the uber famous Omega cal. 321 – the movement that has travelled to the moon and back in the 1969 Speedmaster.
If Neil and Buzz had had the chance to choose between the Speedy and this 145.006-66…I am not sure if the Speedy was the “moonwatch” today.
To be honest, I would have had a clear favorite – this rare reverse panda Seamaster Chronograph!
Yes, there are other Omegas, that use the same cal. in a smaller and thinner case, with way more interesting dials and details, just like this beautiful 145.006-66 Seamaster Chronograph.
A special piece, because:
It has a 38mm C-shape case, an orange Chronograph hand (remembering the Speedy Ultraman), contrasting radial subdials (only the early batch of the 145.006 has radial sub-dials), a contrasting tachymeter scale and its full tritium lumed with an awesome patina color.
The cal. 321 was only used for two years in this ref.’s watch case, Omega changed to the cal. 861 for the next release (ref.145.016-68).
This 145.006-66 is a rare watch in many ways!
Gosh, Omega was so good in the 1960s and 70s…right?
It is always a pleasure to sell a classic, great entry level watch for vintage watch enthusiasts (to become). My vintage watch story started with 1970s Omegas, btw.
Overall good condition. Even and beautiful creamy patina on the hand’s and indices’ tritium lume.
Serviced movement with 12-month warranty.
