ROLEX EXPLORER II POLAR – 16570 Tritium – Full Set – 1995
Get your hand on one of the most beautiful (and promising) neo-vintage Rolex sports models – The Explorer II “Polar” Ref. 16570.
This is the second execution after the first and less commercial successful reference 1655 “Steve McQueen” or “Freccione* and the ref. 16550.
This Explorer II was made in 1995 (W-Serial) and was only sold to its first and only owner in 1997, after it remained unsold for over a year in the dealer’s store.
Won’t happen today again, I guess…

Dial (SWISS – T < 25):
Flawless! Glossy snow-white, with spotless black glossy accents and hands, and some nice light creamy tritium patina. It’s a very light Chicchi di Mais, the tritium has developed some creamy color. Red 24 hrs hand.
Case / bracelet:
The case remained unpolished (promised by the first owner), light signs of wear, lugs are unscratched from the back. The case has clearly visible original factory lines.
The bracelet has no stretch at all! Comes in full length (14 links. Sharp crown logo on the first generation clasp (stamped V = 1995)
Box:
Mint condition, it even smells great! Ref.: 68.00.71
