TROPICAL HEUER CAMARO DATO 73443 NT – ca. 1971
Some watches just give me goosebumps when I wear and photograph them. This 1970s HEUER Camaro 30 Dato (second execution) is definitely one of them!
The case shape, the subtle signs of age and love, the beautiful black dial with a light tropical patina, and the bright yellow tachymeter hand all make this watch a major “want” for me.
It looks absolutely stunning on this dark brown racing leather strap, and it quickly became one of my personal all-time favorite pieces.
Every box for a vintage watch collector’s heart is ticked. The unmistakable 1970s design aesthetic, crafted with the idea of capturing the hearts of US muscle car drivers, is simply wonderful.
Jack Heuer once again created something different and visionary. HEUER chose the Valjoux 7734 movement with a date function to add extra features to their new release.
The HEUER Camaro today stands as a testament to a bold and bombastic era in motorsport and a time of remarkable, unique watch design.
The watch case shows some signs of wear but remains sharp and beautiful.
Both the serial and reference numbers are crisp and clearly legible.
The watch comes from a German motorsport enthusiast and collector, who owns a racing team and organizes vintage car races throughout Europe.
It features a new handmade leather strap (made in Germany) and a new original HEUER pin buckle.
As with all our watches, the movement has been checked and serviced
