YEMA RALLYGRAF SUPER – 93012 – Valjoux 7736 – 1970
Vintage racing chronographs… might be the biggest thing for most of the vintage watch enthusiast out there.
Most of these chronographs are Swiss Made… This YEMA Rallygraf Super, though, was made in France.
Sometimes you can really see and feel the heart and soul of a watch, finding special things in all the small details, a nice and even patina, moderate signs of wear and love, a creamy white and dark tritium lume…all this is making a real vintage classic for me. This Rallygraf Super is definitely the essence of all that.
I love the perfect imperfections, visibly hand engraved writings on the case back and the hand colored / stamped dial on this export or transitional version of the Rallygraf Super.
Usually the “racing flags” were located above the hands, just below the “YEMA” writing, whilst this version shows the rarer dial variant with the racing flags below the hands. And yes, that’s correct, Sir.
Mario Andretti wore a YEMA Rallygraf with two registers when he won the 1969 Indy 500 race, increasing YEMA´s popularity amongst motorsport fans during the late 1960s.
This three register version (Ref. 93012) is powered by a Valjoux 7736, hand wound, of course – and just serviced by our vintage expert.
The three-register version offers a third counter for 24hrs – just thinking about Le Mans…
Add this beauty to your collection, you won’t regret it.
The Rallygraf Super comes on a new handmade in Germany black racing strap, made of the finest available calf leather. HERMÈS calls it “Barenia-Leather”. This leather is made by the famous French tannery HAAS, just right for this French Made vintage watch.
